Priscilla M. Avery

I chose to become a Marriage and Family Therapist so that I can help the Home regain its power, as I believe that a substantial portion of who each individual is developed and molded to be takes place in their Home.

To help those find healing, breakthrough from their traumas, and find the belief that they are an overcomer.

To help parents gain insight and understanding on how to support their child to grow to be a strong and capable adult.

To help Adolescents and young adults recognize their worth in who they are. To find the motivation to pursue their passions as they are our next generation.

To help adults heal from past hurts and current challenges as they are or will be the leaders of their Home.

To make a slight difference in each individual's life that I have the privilege of meeting even for a moment.

  • My Background.

Since 2012, I have had the privilege of working with many children, adolescents, young adults, and their families in helping them work towards healing through challenging seasons and events.

I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma from childhood and adulthood. I also support individuals who experience Parent-Child Relationship problems, Depression, Anxiety, and difficulty adjusting to life challenging changes.

I also have extensive experience with Parenting Skill building and teaching healthy communication skills to support families in building strong relationships in the Home.

  • My Approach.

I am an empathetic, encouraging, and enthusiastic individual that carries these characteristics into the sessions. I take a collaborative, gentle, and direct approach that starts where you are at when you first meet with me. My gentle and direct approach is to encourage you to move towards your goals with compassion and courage.

I believe that Therapy is not only a 50-minute session, but the real impact is the days in between that make the most growth in your life. To help each work towards change, I encourage each person to work on "practice" throughout the week. My approach has been molded through the experience of successfully helping individuals believe that they are capable and worthy of feeling joy and seeing the fruits of their labor.

Faith, Compassion, Courage.
